Mischa Barton in Save the Children Bvlgari campaign
July 7, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Mischa Barton was one of several celebrities who are helping support Save the Children’s new global campaign – a partnership with Bvlgari to “Rewrite the Future.”
The campaign aims to help Save the Children improve education for millions of children living in war zones and other conflict-affected areas.
Bvlgari has created a special ring to celebrate the company’s 125th anniversary, and for every ring sold $60 will be donated to Save the Children’s Rewrite the Future campaign.
In the video, the celebrities show their Bvlgari ring. Among the stars featured are Ben Stiller, Jessica Biel, Ginnifer Godwin (Big Love, HBO), Terrance Howard, William Dafoe, Isabel Rossalini, Debra Messing, Eddie Van Halen, Mischa’s ol’ O.C. pal Olivia Wilde, Zachary Quinto, among others.
Mischa is wearing a beige-colored bohemian top in the video.
Mischa Barton wears her bowler hat for night out
July 2, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Mischa Barton was spotted out at the Bungalow 8 club in London with friends on June 30 wearing a black and white outfit and a bowler hat.

Check out her black shorts under her clothes. Kinda weird to be layering all of those clothes (especially the leather jacket) in the heat of the summer, but to each their own I guess. I’d like to see her wear the shorts with a different top.
Here are more photos of Mischa at Bungalow 8:
New Assassination of a High School President trailer with Mischa Barton
July 1, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Wow! We finally get a two-minute preview of Mischa Barton’s movie Assassination of a High School President.
Right now the film is in limbo because the production company Yari Film Group is in bankruptcy proceedings. But according to SlashFilm.com, the bankruptcy court will meet in late July. The fate of Yari’s films could be decided at that time (or sent directly to DVD).
Back at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, the movie from director Brett Simon got lots of buzz.
Besides Barton, the film stars Reece Thompson, Bruce Willis and Michael Rapaport.
At this point, I doubt the film will be completed for theatrical release, but it would be nice.
Scary Homecoming clip - Mischa Barton’s character is psycho!
June 20, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Mischa Barton does a pretty good impression of Kathy Bates in Misery in this new clip from her new thriller Homecoming.
In the clip, Mischa’s character Shelby isn’t happy that her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend Elizabeth (Jessica Stroup, 90210) snooped around.
Of course, that’s only because Elizabeth is trying to escape from the crazy ex-girlfriend who for some reason has kidnapped her and holding her hostage. Well, we know why she is doing it: She wants her ex-boyfriend Mike (Matt Long) back and will do just about anything to get him back.
Poor Elizabeth thought she could pretend that she was sleep, but that didn’t work, did it? Shelby is psycho!
The Homecoming movie will have a limited release on July 17.
Funny video: Hitler reacts to The OC being canceled
June 19, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
This video is probably not new, but I’ve never seen it before and I thought other fans of The O.C. would enjoy it. (It does have bad language, so beware).
The person who made this video did such a good job matching up the words so well with Hitler’s temper tantrum.
If I remember correctly, there was several temper tantrums at my house when we found out:
- Marissa (Mischa Barton) was killed off
- The O.C. was being canceled
My whole family was in love with The O.C. My husband and kids just couldn’t believe they killed Marissa off. But we continued to watch until the very end.
But I don’t agree with everything on this video (even though it’s still funny). Like I said, it was a big deal to us when Marissa was killed off the show. And we did miss her. She was an integral part of the show.
That said, I did enjoy Ryan’s relationship with Taylor and was really getting into it when the show was canceled.
I think this video would work with just about any show canceled. It really expresses how you feel when you invest your time into a show, it’s storylines and characters, and the networks take it away.
The Beautiful Life and The Vampire Diaries Kick Off Party
June 15, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Cast members from The CW’s new show The Beautiful Life showed up for a kick-off party for both The Beautiful Life and The Vampire Diaries. The party was held June 12 at Liv Nightclub on Fountainebleu Miami Beach in Miami.
From left are actors Michael Trevino, Ben Hollingsworth, Nina Dobreu, Corbin Bleu, Jordan Wooley, Nico Tortorella, Sara Paxton, Kayla Ewell and Candice Accola. This picture has a mixture of stars from The Beautiful Life and The Vampire Diaries.
Mischa Barton, who is on the new show The Beautiful Life, wasn’t in Miami for the party. It’s been questioned by some whether or not she is going to promote the show. For the CW upfronts in May, she wasn’t present, but she did have a reason – she had a modeling assignment in Russia with Herbal Essence, which she promotes.
I am looking forward to The Beautiful Life in the fall on The CW, and so I REALLY, REALLY hope Mischa does plan on promoting the show in the near future. Her fans would LOVE to see her doing that, and disappointed if she doesn’t.
Here’s four members of The Beautiful Life cast at the CW upfronts: Nico Tortorella, Ben Hollingsworth, Sara Paxton and Corbin Bleu.

Mischa Barton’s 2007 Forbes Top 20 Earning Celebrities Under 25 videos
June 14, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Back in 2007, Mischa Barton made Forbes’ annual “20 Under 25: The Top-Earning Young Superstars” list, coming in at No. 13. Here are two videos (in two different languages) highlighting Mischa’s accomplishment:
What I like about the video is gives you a little bit of history about Mischa’s acting career, as well as showing the house she bought for her parents in Beverly Hills.
It also hits about her love of fashion. In fact, the video mentions fashion designers she loves including Zac Posen and Marc Jacobs. In the pilot episode of the CW’s new fall show The Beautiful Life starring Mischa Barton, Zac Posen guest stars. Pretty cool, huh?
Also, the video mentions her love of Stacey Lapidus headbands. Mischa collaborated with Lapidus for her second Mischa Barton for Stacey Lapidus headband collection, which is available now.
Here’s this same video, but in a different language. You’ll have to tell me what language, because I have no clue. Read more
New CW “TV to Talk About” promo features Mischa Barton and The Beautiful LIfe
June 10, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
There’s a hot new CW promo “TV to Talk About” out that shows all of the CW’s shows for the fall, including Mischa Barton’s new show The Beautiful Life.
There’s two brief shots of Mischa, one with her saying “lead the way.” There’s also short peeks of her Beautiful Life co-stars Sara Paxton and Elle MacPherson.
The promo also highlights the other new CW shows The Vampire Diaries and Melrose Place.
And of course, the “TV to Talk About” promo highlights the other CW shows including Gossip Girl, 90210, One Tree Hill, Supernatural, The Next Top Model and Smallville.
I’m glad Mischa’s new show will be on The CW, because it truly is “TV to Talk About.” Some of my favorite shows are on the network, including Gossip Girl, Smallville and 90210.
For “The OC” fans: Mischa Barton and cast DVD extras
June 5, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
For The OC fans, I wanted to share this clip from The OC first season DVD. It’s basically about how executive producer Josh Schwartz picked the cast, especially Ryan (Benjamin McKenzie) and Seth (Adam Brody), but shows Mischa Barton (who played Marissa) briefly. I’m still a big fan of The OC and am looking forward to seeing Mischa weekly again when she her fall show The Beautiful Life on The CW premieres.
I’m also looking forward to see The Beautiful Life cast shooting scenes on the streets of NYC. That would be so cool.
Do you still watch reruns of The OC on SOAPnet or on DVD? I’ve watched some of the episodes so many times that I know the dialogue by heart.
Mischa Barton featured in two Italian magazines
May 12, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Mischa Barton’s pretty face has been popping up in more magazines.
Mischa has a nice spread in the May edition of an Italian magazine. Scans from the magazine have been posted to Mischa-B.com. Mischa has a sporty, pouty and sexy look in the magazine (which I can’t interpret!).
Mischa-B.com also says Mischa may have been cast in an independent movie called Passing Ships, according to Cinado.com.
Cinado.com’s website has Mischa listed on cast for the movie by director John Duigan and Incognito Films. Duigan did direct the 1997 film Lawn Dogs which Mischa starred in. There’s no IMDB listing for the movie as of yet.
Mischa also is featured inside and on the cover in the Italian magazine TU Style. The photos in this set are really cool, so be sure to check them out. More classy, than sexy. The last page of the magazine layout features a photo of the cast from The O.C.
