Is Mischa Barton in the hospital?

The Internet is fluttering with stories that Mischa Barton was taken to the hospital due to complications from her recent oral surgery.
According to rPulse, a family representative confirmed that Mischa was taken to the hospital for dry socket, what dentists refer to as a fairly common complication with tooth extractions. Mischa’s surgery involved deep impacted wisdom teeth that had to be removed from her jaw bones, rPulse said. Her family is with her and she is being treated with antibiotics. Meanwhile, Access Hollywood is reporting that the police were called to Mischa’s home at 3 p.m. Wednesday to help with a non-911 “medical issue.”
According to Access Hollywood, the patrol car responded to the scene and she was escorted from her residence in Hollywood Hills to an undisclosed location (the hospital?).
We will see if anything else breaks tonight on the story, but I hope Mischa gets to feeling better. I for one know exactly how she feels, and most of us who have had dental work can relate. HOWEVER, until more reliable media reports are released, this story could change. She could have went to the hospital for something completely different.
And I hope Perez Hilton feels HORRIBLE for his most recent post about her weight gain in light of this news, but I doubt he will.

Just want to point out something interesting. The original Rpulse news item was worded differently. It included this sentence, but it was removed a few hours later.
“Contrary to the gossip that has been tweeted by the LA Police and Access Hollywood, Mischa was simply in too much pain to drive and asked to be taken by the police so hoping the Paparazzi would leave her alone.”
