The Beautiful Life “Sonya” promo with Mischa Barton

The CW has released a clip from its new fall TV show The Beautiful Life called the “Sonya” promo.
Mischa Barton plays Sonya Stone on the show, a veteran model who is having to climb her way back up the ropes in the model industry that the show revolves around.
While the main characters of the show are Sara Paxton’s character Raina, the new up-and-coming “It” model, and Chris, the newly discovered male model. All of the models cohabitate together in a New York apartment building that looks more like a dorm.
Sonya has a big back story on the show that they are only going to give you a small taste of in the first episode (read a review of the pilot episode). Why did she leave the modeling world when she was on top? Was it an addiction problem or was it something else entirely?

The Beautiful Life will premiere at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Wednesday, September 16 following America’s Next Top Model.
So I guess the big twist is that Sonja disappeared to have a baby and she’s using pills to get rid of the weight she gained. That poor baby. I hope he/she doesn’t get dropped.
