Mischa Barton to cut DUI Deal

Mischa Barton is said to be cutting a deal for her DUI charges from December 27th. As reported in February, Mischa Barton faces 4 misdemeanor charges: driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while having a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent or higher, driving without a valid license and possession of 28.5 grams or less of marijuana.
Mischa Barton will be pleading ‘no contest’ to the charge of misdemeanor driving under the influence. Mischa will be arraigned this Thursday. If the DA’s office accepts the deal, Mischa would avoid jail time and her charge of marijuana possession would be dismissed, and her invalid license charge would be reduced to an infraction.
The deal would put Mischa on unsupervised probation for 3 years and would require her to pay a fine and attend a 3-month alcohol education program. The deal is considered common for first-time offenders, celebrity or otherwise.
"That has always been the plan, but we don’t know exactly how the deal will go down," the Barton insider said.
