Trachtenberg takes Gossip Girl Role

Michelle Trachtenberg has accepted the Gossip Girl role that was previously offered to Mischa Barton. Trachtenberg has accepted the guest role as Georgina Sparks, who returns to New York after a stint in rehab and becomes a pain to Serena van der Woodsen (played by Blake Lively). A past troublemaker who returns – the equivalent of an "adolescent Cruella." Nice!

Hearing about the rehab portion of the role, I think it was probably wise of Mischa to turn down the role on Gossip Girl. That could be interpreted very badly.

Trachtenberg will make her appearance on Gossip Girl during May sweeps.
