Mischa’s bad press for Gossip Girl
Well, it appears that this whole Mischa Barton guest spot on Gossip Girl has just ended in a mess. Ausiello of TV Guide is reporting that, despite Mischa’s publicity folk issuing statements that Mischa would not be on Gossip Girl, she never actually told the CW!
Reliable sources close to the CW phenom tell me that the recent statements made by Barton’s camp took Gossip execs Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz by surprise since, as far as they were concerned, Barton was still in the running to play schemer Georgina Sparks.
It is rather odd that Mischa’s publicity folk would contact the press before contacting the CW’s Gossip Girl execs. People are wondering if the whole thing was just a publicity stunt. What do you think?
