Mischa Barton Interviews
There are three very good Mischa Barton interviews out that she gave while at the Sundance Film Festival. I will summarize and quote from the first two interviews; the third is a video.
The first interview, with MTV, praises Mischa for her role in Assassination of a High School President; they think this role will open many eyes to Mischa’s great talent as an actress. Mischa said that she loved the script and making the movie:
We had so much fun making this film, I can’t even tell you. All we did was laugh. It has an amazing director; Brett [Simon] is such a great guy. And Reece is a very, very funny, up-and-coming actor.
Mischa talks about the stylized dialogue she had to adopt for her character Francesca, and we can expect some funny quips from this ’sinister’ ‘vixen character.’ There are several scenes in which Mischa Barton is nude, and Mischa personally loves the scenes in the bathtub with Reece.
Mischa says she was much more of a loner in high school - not the popular girl. She talks about working with Bruce Willis and getting a bunch of cool swag from Sundance:
Barton: I got a really cool Mac computer that they’re sending me. It’s the new one that’s really skinny …
MTV: The MacBook Air thing?
Barton: Exactly. And I’m gonna get my name on it! I’m excited about that. I was like, "That’s a good gift!"
No kidding! But Mischa does feel bad about all the free gifts being given to her, since she doesn’t feel like she needs all of those things. You can watch the whole interview below (the files are restricted to US-only by MTV):

The next interview is with Moviehole and starts out with reference to the DUI, the difference between LA and NY, fashion, and her evolution as an actress. Later on Mischa shares her passion for writing and her charity works. Interestingly enough, we get from this interview a little more about Mischa’s other movies - Walled In and Homecoming, which she talks about in order below:
“I play this girl who comes to fix a building who comes from a family of construction workers. She comes to work on this building that’s going to be demolished and it’s like a completely strange fantasy that’s going on in the building, because this woman is actually keeping this killer captive. It’s a really sick, twisted story. Basically, they end up breaking down my who goes through a complete emotional breakdown and is torn to bits.”
“I play a psychopath in that. It’s kind of like Misery, but younger. I develop an entire obsession over my ex-boyfriend, and then I go after and torture his current girlfriend.” It sounds like the actress is going through a phase where she’s choosing certain dark characters. “Don’t say that! I don’t need it to rub off on me,” Barton says, laughingly.
