Mischa Barton to appear in court in 2008
More details about Mischa Barton’s arrest have surfaced. The sheriff’s department has issued an update about and have laid new charges against Mischa. Specifically, drug charges for pot and another unspecified drug.
"Detectives are continuing their investigation into Ms. Barton’s arrest" the statement from Sgt. John Hocking readers.
"She has additionally been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana."
Mischa Barton was pulled over after she was seen driving in multiple lanes and failing to use her signal to turn. She then failed a sobriety test and was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor drunk driving.
Mischa is scheduled to appear in Beverly Hills Court on February 28, 2008 to face the DUI and drug possession charges.

If she is charged and sent to jail it could ruin her comeback. No casting director would want to lay a hand on her.

oh man, quite a collection mischa of substances, mischa! well it shure will help promote “you and me (finding t.a.t.u)”. i hope, some good attourneys can render this action plausible to the law! please don’t let them take you down! we need you out there!

Casting directors won’t care - they just want what will pull the punters in!!
What is more concerning is what any convictions will do to her - as we know, very hectic - travelling schedule. She’s going to find it almost impossible to travel so frequently now as a lot of countries make it difficult for those with convictions to enter.

Mischa can do no wrong in my eyes. If I were her parents I’d forgive her in a heartbeat. She’s a true angel. Her mug shot is WAY prettier than Lohans and Hiltons.

Mischa’s parents are in the best position to decide what’s best for their daughter. If they think she needs to go to rehab at this time, they should send her. The career can take a backseat for a while, her well being is more important.

For DUI people should have to do jail time..its just not acceptable. With regards to weed..pff everyone smokes weed..its hardly a big deal..DUI however is endangering peoples lives.

Que triste ! Não queria que isso acontecesse ! A droga leva a pessoa a este tipo de comportamento, por estar insatisfeita, muitas vezes, por alguma coisa. Que ela procure se satisfazer em Deus, não nisto. Me decepcionei :(
