Mischa Barton ARRESTED for DUI & Drugs
Mischa Barton Arrested Today
Mischa Barton has been arrested on suspicion of Driving Under the Influence (DUI), possession of illegal narcotics and driving without a valid license. Mischa’s booking photo is featured to the left.
Mischa Barton was pulled over at 2:46am this morning in West Hollywood at the corner of La Cienega and Santa Monica boulevards for "straddling two lanes of traffic and fail[ing] to signal when making a turn."
When the police pulled over Mischa’s white Range Rover, they saw that she was an unlicensed driver and under the influence of alcohol.
Mischa Barton was, as of 8am, still in the custody of the police and being held for $10,000 bail. The LA County Sheriff’s Inmate Information website calls Mischa ‘Burton’ very cooperative and ‘no trouble at all’. (Update: Mischa was released from jail at 10:10am)
Mischa Barton, who is scheduled to open the new CatHouse nighclub in Las Vegas this Saturday, has not lost the faith of her business partners. A rep for the club said that Mischa Barton is still "all set and ready to go" to host the opening.
As a Mischa Barton fan, I am truly saddened by this situation. Mischa has long been a strong role model for Young Hollywood and it is sad to see this happen to her. I hope she soon realizes the error of her ways and makes positive steps to recovering. I hope, at least, she is not in need of rehab - I would much rather this be a mistake in judgment than a serious issue for our Mischa!

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!! What happened to her!!!! I thought she was such a good role model- always looking like such a movie star and now she comes back to LA and LOOK WHAT HAPPENS!!!!! This sucks. I’m soooo dissapointed. I was a Mischa fan becuase she was one of the few actresses in hollywood who didn’t have a DUI or looked trashy. But the last couple of days since she has been in LA, she has looked like a mess. I am STUNNED! I never thought that Mischa, who always seemed so intelligent would go and do something like this. I am still her fan, but i have to say- Good job Mischa at making yourself look like an idiot! I hope she pulls out of this and gets herself together. Like I said earlier, she should not be living in LA- it is way too crazy and effects people in bad ways. :(

Well. I really don’t know what to say. With pretty much every star getting arrested for DUI these days it’s not really a shock to me that Mischa was arrested, more of a dissapointment. She has always been smarter in her decisions than other celebs her age until now. I really, really hope this is not going to become a trend for her. Get a cab next time.

I thought Mischa was better than this. I thought she was different, unique, something above the Hollywood standards. She was someone with style, grace and the ability to stand out from the crowd. She was the red rose in the sea of white ones. This is really depressing. Mischa is now no better than Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan and all the other goddamn celebrities that have gotten arrested for DUI in the past few years.
I guess everyone makes mistakes but I think Mischa is going to lose alot of fans today.

im really disappointed. i mean she was such a role model, always making good decisions and beeing the nice girl. maybe that was just a mask, cause that’s not the first time there’s rumors about her smoking pot (w/ her ex cisco, then on the cavalli’s boat at cannes). i hope she’ll doing better because recently she was such a mess : her horrible outfits, her new blonde hair (really a horrible shade of blonde)..

Oh come on people….let’s give her some space! Yes, it’s not a good thing to be arrested for DUI, yes it’s not pleasant for us to know about it half as much as it must be embarassing for her too…but she is young!
She is 21!
Let’s all try and give her the benefit of doubt. Who knows exactly why this has happened? Only Mischa herself knows and possibly her parents too.
Indeed it can be a huge blow for many Mischa’s fans, but let’s not all be too judgemental, please.
Making mistakes is part of the human condition, youth is the perfect time to be making mistakes, learning from them and move on making sure they won’t be repeated.
Have a little faith in Mischa: she is just 21!
If she is taken as a role model it’s only because people want to see it that way, not her choice to be one.
Perhaps I am too optimistic but I am positive this bad experience taught her a big lesson in life, so much so that she won’t be doing it again.
Mischa, the world is your oyster: you have everything to gain out of your own magnificent beauty, intelligence and talent.
Don’t blow it all away for some insignificant substance abuse which in the long run could do you more damage than good.

This smacks of a publicity stunt to me. She would NEVER be that stupid to do this, unless she was pressured into it by her PR people. She has heaps of movies coming out, & she simply needs the publicity. There are already 700 articles online alone less than a day later, and everyone is talking about it. Smart move.

Yup, well firstly everyone smokes pot in LA. Everyone. I’ve never thought that she was a saint! But she said onetime that she’s not part of the fake ‘Young Holliwood’ and not one of those party girls, and has dissed Paris Hilton a few times. Paris must be glad now!
Mischa, I thought you were creating a career in Russia? Maybe you were, and it wasn’t for nothing. Work is work, but why this? But you fans, a girl who dated ‘bad guys’ like Cisco Adler, Brandon Davis etc, rumored smoking pot QUITE MANY TIMES and pukes in parties whatever. There’s so much more! Do you think this girl wouldn’t have done this?
I believe she’s different from Paris and Lindsay. You can’t even mention Nicole anymore, she’s a changed person! I also don’t think she has a problem with alcohol or anything. But mentally maybe she’s stuck or something. It’s hard for us to say and everyone loves to speculate. But I’ll leave my speculation here for this! I loved her in OC, and some of her old movies.

She needs to accept that it is her fault for getting arrested and that she needs to face the consequences. However, I would hate it if people would start comparing her to Lindsay, Paris, and Nicole. I bet Mischa hates it too! I hope people will instead see her as a human being who is not perfect - because none of us are - who made a mistake and will learn from it. Hopefully she will regain composure and class from this horrible incident. I think we all know that she is a much smarter girl than this, but for some reason it seems she has become lost on who she is as a person and the decisions she makes in life. I think what Mischa needs to do is reavaluate her life and figure things out. I don’t really think this will affect her career too much because this is the first scandalous thing she has EVER done since she shot up to fame on the oc. But it does put a damper on things doesn’t it?

Let’s clarify a few things,
Mischa has been doing pot for a while now. We’ve all seen the pictures so the fact that she was carrying pot with her shouldn’t be surprising to anyone. The law just caught up with her. I hope she’ll abandon the dirty now.

This message is not only for Mischa but for all. Before you find fault with some one examine your self for at least a year. You will find that all of us have our short comings. Only the Lord Jesus is the answer to live holy at all times, and even then we make mistakes that leads us to repentance.
