Malice in Sunderland Update & Competing ‘Alice’ movie?
Well, we haven’t heard much about this Mischa Barton movie in a while, but Malice in Sunderland is still getting the green light. The movie also goes now ‘Malice in Wonderland’ - will be interesting to see which gets the final stamp of approval.
The glamorous actress will star in Malice In Sunderland, which begins shooting next April.
It is based on the work of Lewis Carroll and features a visiting US film student who is struck by a car, waking up in a weird and wonderful version of the gritty north east city.
The Sunderland of the film is filled with dark and surreal characters.
The movie will be filmed in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear, England, UK. That’s shown in the map above.
Now, I wonder, how does the Malice film go down with the announcement that Tim Burton will be making a 3D Alice in Wonderland adaptation also starting in 2008.
Tim Burton has signed a deal with the Walt Disney Co. to direct and produce 3-D movies based on Lewis Carroll’s "Alice in Wonderland" and his own short film "Frankenweenie."
The "Alice" adaptation, combining live-action and performance-capture technology, will start shooting in early 2008.
Burton will then start work on a full-length version of his 1984 cult favorite "Frankenweenie," about a pet dog who is brought back to life by his loyal owner in a very unusual way. The film will be shot in stop-motion animation.
Will be interesting how the public reacts to two ‘Alice’-like movies perhaps released in the same year!

is this really true cause if it is im in sooo much luck. i just so happen to live in sunderland and it would b da bst if Mishca is coming to my home town!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

I can’t wait for the filmin 2 start coz i’m from Sunderland too nd I reeeeeeeeely wanna be in the movie. I’ve bn on the empire stage twice so I have loads of experiance but never on a movie. I’m reeeeeeely excited!!!!
