New Mischa Barton Movie: Walled In
Mischa Barton will star in a new movie called "Walled In" co-starring Deborah Kara Unger and Cameron Bright.
"Walled In" is a psychological thriller out of new production house Leomax Entertainment. It is a French-Canaidan co-production and will be filmed in Saskatchewan starting on October 22.
The film is directed by Gilles Paquet-Brenner, and is his first English-language film. The movie is based on Serge Broselot’s bestselling French novel, "Les Emmeures." I couldn’t find reference to this book online, so I am not sure if it perhaps has another name.
More about Mischa Barton’s role & the plot of in "Walled In":
Barton as a demolition company rep who supervises the razing of a mysterious building and discovers horrifying secrets and past inhabitants entombed within its walls by a vicious murderer.
Canadian rights were acquired by co-producer Remstar Prods., while La Petite Reine bought French theatrical, DVD and TV rights and Canal Plus acquired French feevee rights for a film that will cost around $8 million.

The actual title of the book is “Les Emmurés”, and it seems to be quite a scary one: a young woman moves into a house were horrible crimes have been committed (the Malestrazza house) in order to write an article on them. Some rumours go around: the neighbours only imagined the crimes, the murderer still lives in the house, hidden away in a secret appartment, there may be some bodies walled-in all over the house…
Nice one!
