Rachel Bilson to quit The OC
Rachel Bilson wants to quit The OC. According to sources, Rachel admits to having lost her lust and passion for the show and the role of Summer Roberts that made her a star. She feels she’s hit the end of where that character can go or take her:
She said in an interview with Teen Vogue magazine: "I just feel like the show is over. I’m so happy for everything it brought me, and it’s been such a great experience, but I think we’re all ready to move on."
Rachel’s co-star Mischa Barton, who played Marissa Cooper, has already left the show to pursue a movie career.
Rachel is set to make her movie debut in new film ‘The Last Kiss’, which is released in the US this week.
The 24-year-old actress appears alongside ‘Scrubs’ star Zach Braff and Ben Affleck’s brother Casey in the movie, and she admits it was nerve wracking making the transition from the small screen to the big screen.
Rachel, who is dating her ‘O.C.’ co-star Adam Brody, said: "I definitely put a lot of thought and consideration into choosing my first film. It’s really hard to do the jump from television to movies, especially coming from a show like ‘The O.C.’ where you’re so typecast into a teenage genre."

i don’t see how they can carry on if rachel wants to go too, they’ll probably end the show after season 4.

i dont want either of them to go they should both stay and finish the fourth season and then mabey call the quits.but marissa definetly shouldnt have died that was the worst episode i have ever seen and i think they should take it bak and put her in a coma for a while then mischa can still go to japan and marissa can wake up when she gets bak. but they definetly shouldnt kill her. if mischa wants to leave then she can the shows pretty much done anyway but killing hers a bit to dramatic and over the top. it will definetly be bad for the ratings sothey really should take it bak if they want to air season 4 of the oc. same with rachel. let me guess there gonna kill her 2! i think the thing that upset people the most is that they like 2 think of it as real life. i no i do. and people r drawing away coz nobody would want to go through wat ryans goin through so yeah about 100,000 people agree with me and think that ending really sucked! and that the 4th season will be nowhere near as good as the 1st or 2nd and it might even suck more then the 3rd so my tip is bring marissa cooper bak and have a serious chat with mischa coz i think the show and her r making a big mistake. and that might be 1 of the reasons rachel wants to leaves. so yeah have a think about that. OMG rachel cant leave Mischas already gone what the hell are they gonna do without the best friends Marissa and Summer brought so much to the show and when Mischa left they nearly didnt do season 4 if Rachel leaves i doubt there will be a season 5 Josh cant let Rachel go as well plus i swear the core four were all ment to be signed up for 6 years.

Seriously i knew this was coming. After Marissa died, i heard rumours taht the fab 4 will be ruined…and i heard rumours taht one of the fab 4 wanted to leave becuz Mischa let.
The show is starting to suck, the scripts suck. Josh u should of kept Mischa now look what u are doing to the show. Rachel wants to quit now, and i told u there would be consquences of her leaving.
The oc was the best now im afraid to say that it sucks and its all going down hill.
I wish these celebrities would just be committed to the show…I dont want any of them to leave. There are tons of ppl who would dream to be a famous celebrity and act and sing. Just stay in the oc and make ur fans happy.
Becuz after seaosn 4 its gonna be over.!!!!!!!!

Nr.1: Mischa shouldn’t have been written out of the series, and definetly not in that way!
Nr.2: Now that Mischa’s gone, Rachel can’t leave! It’s not supposed to happend!
Nr.3: The fourth season is gonna be the last. I don’t want it to end, but it’s better that it happends now then if they made a terrible 5th season, and it sucked. Agree?

Rachel is now realizing how much Josh needs Mischa Barton, and it sucks with out her. If only Josh listened to us, now ur show is dying with out her and now Rachel wants to quit. The oc is dying adn season 4 will be the last season. Which really sucks. If u had Marissa back u would of made 11 great seasons.

dont blame mischa its josh fault for killing her off, mischa would of been glad to do another decision but they had nothing left for her to do. I do agree the show is falling apart …Rachel please just stay so that this well not be the ocs last season. Without u and Mischa there will not be any more oc.

ok its me again and i just want to say the oc rocks to dont blame josh actually be glad if it wasn’t for him this great show wouldn’t have ever been out! and even though it might be over after the 4th season there will always be those great 4 seasons! and they will always be there so might as well be happy that they made 4 seasons then just like 2 or 3 i cant wait the the 4th and i hope that rachel doesn’t quit but i dont care about mischa! summer cna get another friend that she like meets at brown or something! why cant this show my like friends or something they have like so many seasons that even my grandma hasn’t even seen them all!

Its Rachel’s decision… she can either leave or stay it wont really make a difference so what the show ends it was an awesome show for a few years anyway…. everyone takes it too seriously its just a show down cut ureself over it…… mischa was awesome for 3 seasons oh well she left I personally love the show but its not my life and it shouldnt be any of yours. (unless your the cast or the cast crew)

OMG!!! This cannot be happening! O.C (for me) is like the best show! Ever since Marissa(Mischa)left the set,it has been quite boring but the only people that has kept the show alive are RACHEL, Ben and Adam ( other casts to). Without the two leading ladies what wll happen to the O.C? It’s bad enough that Mischa Barton left what will happen if Rachel Bilson leaves?? I mean, no offense to the other casts but it will be quite boring! No action, drama ,comedy and all the other stuff. I just wish Rachel Bilson will re think her mind and think about the fans of O.C, not just herself. So personally, i think if she calls it quits, O.C will not be like the other 3 seasons!(Not offending the other casts!)

omg i just watched season 3 final episode it feels weird you know? seeing someone you’ve been watching grow up in your living room die… it feels like you’ve lost a family member…. I hate it . BUT when u think of it they wouldnt really have had any good material after season 3. Except the mourning of Marissa(Mischa) and then the accepting as we saw in the episode with ryan and taylor in a coma … ryan had to say goodbye. VERY VERY sad agreed?
