Mischa would be in college
According to ninemsn, Mischa Barton has said that if it was not for The OC and her breakout role there, she would be in college right now.
"For me, it was always important to me to have a normal life. I am the only person in my family that acts … so it was strange when I picked up on it and loved it so much.
She feels a heavy responsibility to her fans and to act appropriately as a role model. As far as her style is concerned, she doesn’t know why it is so popular, as it is stuff just dependant on her mood - she does have good taste though!
"There’s a lot of responsibility that comes with it I suppose, just that those girls look up to you and you have to realise that a lot of the fan base of the show is sensitive to what you discuss."
Far from resting on her laurels as Hollywood’s "It" girl de jour, Barton is keeping up a busy schedule having just completed a Shakespeare drama course at Britain’s prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.
