Spoilers for the new OC season
1. Someone gets the ax:
“A major character will leave, and we may find ourselves at another funeral at some point this year,” Schwartz teases. If we’re lucky, it’ll be Marissa. Hey, she needs the time off to eat more.
2. Jeri Ryan joins the cast:
The former “Star Trek: Voyager” and “Boston Public” bombshell pops in as Charlotte, a mysterious chick Kirsten met while in rehab. “Kirsten is going to be questioning whether she’s ready to come home, and if we were going to have a character prey on those insecurities, rehab seemed like the perfect place for that to happen,” Schwartz says. “Jeri obviously … has the ability to be really sweet and charming and turn on a dime.” Something tells me this Charlotte isn’t gonna be very hush, hush.
3. Sandy will run the Newport Group: “He has to be careful that he doesn’t become Caleb Nichol,” Schwartz says. “Sandy becomes the breadwinner for the first time, and I think that’ll create a really interesting dynamic and some real moral dilemmas for [Kirsten and Sandy].”

okay mischa better not leave because the show will not even succeed through the fourth season. Marissa seth summer and ryan are what make the oc you cannot kill off a main character. no one will even watch the fourth season if she is leaving. sry but josh better change the script and make marissa still be alive cuz if she is not there will be alot of angry viewers and the ratings will go down.

Marissa cannot die. She is a central character and death is so final. If Mischa really wants to leave then have season 4 start of with her in a coma and either stay that way or recover and join her father in Greece for a break. I think the death of this character will doom the show and I wish differently. Why this story line? Why couldn’t she just leave? Please reconsider this dangerous move and terrible storyline!

Yeah, I’m officially not watching the next season! I’m so mad, Marissa was my favorite character. Her and Ryan were meant to be together and Katelyn could never replace her. The show will never succeed without her.

What have you done. The oc is all about the fab four. Misha Burton is a central character and bringing in catlain it not going to work.

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cant believe they’re seriously considering killing off mischa barton, WHAT A BIG MISTAKE. the viewings will deinately go down. They should have ended all seasons there or keep her alive.Whats the point of the oc without her, and yeah katelyn will never take her place shes just another mis-fit .
