Keds is now hanging with the popular kids again, thanks to new pitchwoman Mischa Barton, the 19-year-old star of Fox’s teen drama The O.C. Keds used Barton to great effect in a spring ad campaign (tagline: “Be Cool”) for a trendy new line that helped boost sales 7 percent since last year and put the shoemaker on track for its first $200 million year in a decade by 2006. Mischa may have taken her mom to the Emmy’s, but she still stole the red carpet. Perhaps having her mom there was a sign that all is not well in relationship world. My two cents: either she’s single or she doesn’t want us to know who she’s really with.

I also think it shows great respect for her mom to be a part of the fun of the night.

If Mischa is with Adler, then perhaps there will be a feud going on

Can Whitestarr singer Cisco Adler come between Mischa Barton and Kimberly Stewart? It’s LA–of course. As they say–anything can happen. And unlike Vegas what happens in LA, doesn’t stay in LA–it goes straight to the gossip pages.

Radar grabs the scoop and runs an item in Fresh Intelligence:

We hear Stewart, who was engaged to Adler until earlier this year and had some trouble getting past their breakup (she reportedly had to have a tattoo on her stomach altered from “Daddy’s Little Girl Loves Cisco” to “Daddy’s Little Girl Loves Disco”), got into a screaming match with Barton recently after learning about the new relationship.

“Kimberly is finally over Cisco, but she was furious that a friend of hers would date her ex,” says a source close to Stewart.

“She called up Mischa and gave her an earful. She said Cisco was totally gross and that after all the nasty stuff Kimberly had told her about him she should know better than to date such a douchebag”—of which Stewart, who’s currently dating Girls Gone Wild auteur Joe Francis, is something of a connoisseur.

Apparently, Mischa’s role on The O.C. is inspiring teens in the wrong way… style, not love or life.

Melissa, looks to new models Lily Cole and Gemma Ward for fashion inspiration; Eliza, a fan of The OC, rates Mischa Barton, and several of the girls mention Sienna Miller. “Her look is really individual,” says Marina. “She wears odd things, but she looks good and unique, which is why people want to copy her.” But it’s only her fashion sense that inspires them, none of them would want her love life.

Mischa came to reside in her new LA home thanks to the help of her constant stalkers – the Paparazzi.

Mischa Barton was looking around for a home, but wasn’t finding what she wanted – privacy. If the home allowed for those cameras to be close at all times, it just would not do.

Mischa’s requirements: gated, private. Thanks to this, Mischa did come to find something perfect.

Now – only take that driving test without the nuisance of cars running around after her, and maybe she’ll be in peace.

This is looking to be a very juicy season. A panel of parents at Harbor petitioned to have Marissa and Ryan expelled, but they settle on just Marissa.

Jimmy is struggling with bills and seized the opportunity to propose to the recently widowed and rich Julie in order to pay his bills. In an effort to have Marissa’s status as a student renewed, she and Ryan had a meeting with Harbor’s new principal.

He said that he had heard all of the talk about Marissa and that she would not be setting foot into his school again. As Marissa is removed from the premises of the carnival, Ryan, in a fit of testosterone, punched the dean of discipline in the face. The episode ended in the same place where it started, with Ryan and Marissa both expelled.

In Rome recently, the O.C. star looked anything but a high-school girl in a sophisticated and body-conscious number. But earlier in Beverly Hills, her trendy outfit (fur vest, multiple necklaces) was perfect for a day at the mall.

The new wonder woman movie is coming up, and Lauren Graham is vying for the part. Her chances may be slim, but it would be an interesting cast, if she gets it. She is up against Mischa Barton, who could be one of the favourites, considering her place in the media spotlight right now.

“I would frigging love to be Wonder Woman! I was almost her once when I was working at the Mattel Toy Fair in the mid-’90s. But then they switched me over to the UNO card game. I love a good headband.”

I think the odds of Joss Whedon casting her are pretty damn slim. She has some SERIOUS competiton. Catherine Zeta Jones, Katie Holmes and Sandra Bullock to name a few.
